Cost Control Engineer

 

Description:

Cost Estimation & Budgeting: Develop detailed cost estimates for roadwork and infrastructure projects. Track the actual cost versus the budget and take corrective action if necessary.

Cost Control: Monitor costs and ensure that the project stays within the allocated budget. Identify and assess any potential risks that could affect the project's cost.

Reporting: Prepare and present regular financial reports to project stakeholders, highlighting variances, trends, and forecasts.

Contract Administration: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure the project complies with financial requirements and contractual obligations.

Value Engineering: Propose cost-effective alternatives while maintaining project quality.

Risk Management: Assess and mitigate financial risks associated with the project.

Communication Skills: Ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial team members.

Attention to Detail: Accuracy in tracking costs and preparing reports.

Problem-Solving: Ability to address discrepancies in budget and cost forecasts promptly.

Time Management: Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

Certified Cost Engineer (CCE) or Certified Cost Professional (CCP)

5+ years of experience in cost control or cost management in road works or infrastructure projects.
