Description:
A Leading Provider of Enterprise Servers & Cloud Solutions looking to expand their team with a Junior Cybersecurity and Privacy specialist. You will be involved with protecting organizational assets, ensuring compliance with privacy laws, and managing security and privacy requests.
This is a fully remote contract engagement.
Key responsibilities for this Cybersecurity and Privacy Specialist position:
- Assist in maintaining compliance with data protection laws.
- Monitor and manage the cybersecurity and privacy inbox, promptly reviewing incoming tickets and emails.
- Categorize and prioritize requests based on severity and urgency.
- Provide initial responses to inquiries, including potential phishing emails and supplier assessments.
- Assign tickets to appropriate team members for further investigation and resolution.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and correspondence.
- Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to resolve security and privacy issues.
- Stay updated on the latest security and privacy trends, tools, and best practices.
Key requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in law, compliance, governance, IT, or cybersecurity
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong analytical skills to understand and interpret security-related information.
- Basic understanding of ISO 27001 and ISO 27701 standards.
- Basic knowledge of privacy matters and data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR).
- Good understanding of IT, networking, and information security principles.
