E&i Construction Engineer

 

Description:

DOPET is currently looking for an experienced and driven Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Construction Engineer to oversee field execution and construction activities across a wide range of EPC Oil & Gas projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in managing E&I systems, site supervision, and contractor coordination in both onshore and offshore environments.

🔑 Key Responsibilities:
Supervise day-to-day E&I construction activities on site, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, and industry standards
Monitor installation of electrical panels, lighting systems, cable trays, earthing, instrumentation loops, junction boxes, and field devices
Coordinate with planning, QA/QC, safety, and subcontractor teams for work execution and interface management
Review IFC drawings, resolve technical issues, and raise RFIs or TQs as required
Assist in preparing construction schedules and work packs
Ensure compliance with international standards (IEC, NEC, API, ATEX) and client specifications
Conduct field inspections, loop checks, and support pre-commissioning / commissioning teams
Maintain accurate daily progress reports and construction documentation
Promote HSE best practices and ensure all construction activities are carried out safely and efficiently

🎓 Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering
Minimum 10 years of E&I construction experience, with 8+ years in the Oil & Gas EPC sector
Hands-on experience in field execution of electrical & instrumentation systems
Strong knowledge of construction drawings, material specs, cable schedules, and loop diagrams
Familiarity with hazardous area installations (Ex equipment, Zoning, ATEX/IECEx)
Excellent communication and site coordination skills
Ability to work in fast-paced, multi-discipline environments (onshore/offshore)
