Job Summary
The General Manager – MEP will lead and oversee all operational, commercial, and strategic aspects of the MEP division in Qatar. The role requires strong leadership in project execution, business development, financial management, and regulatory compliance while ensuring delivery of high-quality MEP projects within budget and schedule.

Key Responsibilities

1️⃣ Strategic Leadership
-Develop and implement business strategies to expand the MEP division in Qatar.
-Identify growth opportunities in commercial, residential, infrastructure, and industrial sectors.
-Establish annual business plans, revenue targets, and profitability goals.
-Strengthen relationships with key clients, consultants, and government entities.

2️⃣ Operations Management
-Oversee end-to-end execution of MEP projects (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Firefighting, ELV).
-Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to required quality standards.
-Monitor project KPIs, productivity, and performance.
-Resolve major project-level technical and operational challenges.

3️⃣ Commercial & Financial Management
-Approve project budgets, BOQs, tenders, and cost estimates.
-Oversee tendering process, pricing strategy, and risk assessment.
-Monitor P&L performance of the MEP division.
-Ensure cost control, variation management, and claim strategy.
-Review contracts and negotiate major agreements.

4️⃣ Business Development
-Lead prequalification submissions and major tender bids.
-Build strategic partnerships with consultants, developers, and main contractors.
-Identify new market opportunities and expansion plans.

5️⃣ Team Leadership
-Lead project managers, engineers, commercial managers, and support staff.

6️⃣ Compliance & Governance
-Ensure compliance with Qatar Construction Standards (QCS) and other regulations.
-Ensure health & safety standards are implemented across all projects.
-Maintain ISO and quality management systems.

Qualifications
-Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
-15+ years of experience in MEP contracting.
-Minimum 5 years in a senior leadership role (GM / Operations Director / MEP Manager).
-Strong knowledge of Qatar construction regulations and authority approvals.
-Proven experience managing large-scale MEP projects
-UPDA Grade A or B certification preferred.

Preferred Background (Qatar Market)
-Experience working with:
-Ashghal projects
-Kahramaa approvals
-Civil Defense systems
-High-rise towers / Commercial complexes / Infrastructure
-Strong local network within Qatar construction industry
