Librarian

Description:

We are currently looking for an experienced Librarian to join a well-established organization in Qatar, supporting library operations within a dynamic community environment.

🔎 Key Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain all library information resources and digital content
Oversee cataloguing, archiving, and classification systems (Dewey, AACR2, RDA, etc.)
Ensure smooth day-to-day library operations (check-ins, check-outs, user support)
Develop and implement library policies, programs, and services
Manage library systems, databases, and electronic resources
Promote library services and enhance user engagement across the community
Prepare reports, budgets, and monitor library performance

✅ Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Library Science or equivalent
Minimum 6 years of experience, including 3 years in a supervisory/management role
Strong knowledge of cataloguing standards and library systems
Proficiency in computer applications and digital library tools
Fluency in English and Arabic (preferred)
Certification from an International Library Association is a plus
