Senior Estimation Engineer

Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Estimation Engineer to join our team in Qatar. The ideal candidate must have extensive experience in infrastructure projects and a strong working background with Ashghal standards and requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare accurate cost estimations for infrastructure projects including roads, drainage, utilities, and related civil works.

Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documents to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.

Coordinate with project managers, engineers, procurement, and planning departments for inputs.

Submit compliant and competitive tender submissions as per Ashghal's requirements.

Attend pre-tender meetings and clarify scope and specifications.

Review and validate subcontractor and supplier quotations.

Maintain and update a cost database and historical project information.

Assist in risk assessment and pricing strategies.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.

Minimum 10 years of experience in estimation, with at least 5 years in Qatar.

Proven experience in infrastructure projects with Ashghal (Public Works Authority) is mandatory.

Strong knowledge of local market rates, suppliers, and subcontractors.

Proficient in estimation software (e.g., Candy, CCS, or similar tools).

Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.

Preferred:

UPDA/MMUP certification is a plus.
