We are currently seeking an Accounting and Tax Manager to join an energy client based in Doha, Qatar.

The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and maintaining the administrative policies and systems that define the company's financial standards.

In a region as dynamic as the Middle East, compliance is not static it is a moving target, hence you will oversee all aspects of accounting, from payroll and inventory to fixed assets and bank reconciliations as well as consolidation and reporting.

Preparing statutory financial statements under local standards while simultaneously aligning with IFRS for group reporting will require someone with a deep understanding of International GAAP, Qatari Tax, and Qatari VAT.

The ideal profile includes:

A degree in Accounting or Finance, preferably with an MBA or Master's in Finance.

Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CA, CMA, or CFA.

At least 10 years of experience, with a proven track record in consolidations and tax risk management.

Experience with market-leading ERP systems like Oracle is essential for maintaining a robust compliance framework.

A background in Big4 Audit or Tax is highly advantageous, as it provides the analytical rigor necessary for this level of responsibility.
