Commissioning Engineer

Description:

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Commissioning Engineer / Commissioning Lead to join our team for a major Oil & Gas / Water Treatment project in Qatar.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and execute pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up activities for electrical and multidisciplinary systems.
Review engineering and contractual documentation to ensure commissioning requirements are incorporated into the project design.
Prepare and review commissioning procedures, method statements, execution plans, and schedules.
Manage mechanical completion through to facility handover using completion management systems.
Coordinate with vendors, clients, and multidisciplinary teams throughout the commissioning phase.
Prepare commissioning progress reports, final dossiers, and handover documentation.
Ensure compliance with HSSE requirements and promote a strong safety culture.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (mandatory).
Minimum 13–15 years of commissioning experience in Oil & Gas and/or Water Treatment projects.
Strong experience with:
Electrical systems
Switchgear (LV/MV/HV)
Transformers
Power Management Systems (PMS)
UPS systems
Lighting and earthing systems
HVAC electrical systems
ICSS/DCS/PLC and control systems
Fire & Gas (F&G) systems
Rotating and static equipment
Process and utility systems
Hands-on experience with OPERCOM methodology and completion management systems such as ICAPS or WinPCS.
Proven experience in mechanical completion, commissioning, performance testing, and facility handover.
Strong knowledge of commissioning documentation and dossier preparation.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
