Corrosion & Cathodic Protection (cp) Engineer

 

Description:

The Corrosion & CP Engineer is responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring corrosion prevention activities, with a primary focus on cathodic protection surveys, and corrosion coupon and probe installation/retrieval. The role ensures the integrity, reliability, and compliance of pipelines, structures, tanks, and associated assets in accordance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:-

- Conduct CP surveys including CIPS, DCVG, PSP, ER, and ON/ OFF potential measurements.
- Inspect, assess, troubleshoot and maintain ICCP and SACP systems.
- Evaluate CP system performance and propose corrective actions.
- Install, retrieve, and analyze corrosion coupons and probes.
- Support integrity assessments, pigging data reviews, and anomaly verification.
- Prepare CP and corrosion monitoring reports.
- Ensure compliance with NACE, ISO, API, DNV standards.

Safety & Compliance:-

•Follow company HSE policies and international safety standards.
•Participate in PTW, toolbox talks, and JSAS.
•Ensure safe execution of field activities.

Qualifications & Requirements:-

- Bachelor's Degree in Corrosion Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related field.

- 3-5 years' experience in corrosion engineering and CP systems.

- Strong knowledge of ICCP, SACP, and corrosion monitoring technologies.

Preferred Certifications:

- NACE CP Level 2 / Level 3
- NACE Corrosion Technologist / CIP certifications
- Offshore experience preferred.
- Strong reporting, analysis, and troubleshooting skills.
