Description:

l Determining the technology system architecture and functional design needed to support and meet company business goals.

l Setting the context, defining common elements and creating patterns and standards to apply the details at a project level

l Assisting management and stakeholders in evaluating the business’ mission and ensuring that the company uses its IT assets effectively.

l Documenting the process using multiple architectural models

l Generating graphic representations and abstracts of the system architecture models

l Evaluating existing IT systems for exposure or weaknesses that could compromise performance, security or efficiency.

l Form cross-functional teams (Network, Operations, Development, Data Warehouse, Quality, to facilitate the creation of optimal architectures which align to the architecture plan

l Define and articulate the implications of enterprise architecture strategies, goals and viewpoints to system and application architectures.

l Proactively identify, define and maintain architectural artifacts to promote design and development/implementation consistency of systems and applications, or to reduce their time to market, cost and technical risk.
