Estimator - Joinery & Fit Out

Roles and Responsibilities

· Prepare accurate and detailed estimates for joinery and fit out projects.

· Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine materials, labor, and equipment required for each project.

· Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to clarify project requirements and address any issues or concerns.

· Obtain and evaluate subcontractor bids and quotes for various project components.

· Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing and availability of materials and services.

· Review and negotiate contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.

· Monitor project costs and progress to ensure adherence to budget and timeline.

· Provide support and guidance to project teams throughout the estimating and bidding process.

· Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in order to provide accurate and informed estimates.

· Continuously improve estimating processes and procedures to optimize efficiency and accuracy.

Desired Candidate Profile

· Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.

· At least 5 years of experience in estimating joinery and fit out projects.

· Professional certifications in estimating or a related field are preferred.

· Extensive knowledge of joinery and fit out materials, techniques, and pricing.

· Strong proficiency in estimating software and other relevant tools.

· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to read and interpret project plans, specifications, and other technical documents.

· Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

· Effective communication and negotiation skills.

· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
