Hse Manager Specialist In Marine Industry

Key Responsibilities
· Develop, implement, and continuously improve HSE policies, procedures, and marine-specific safety plans.
· Ensure full compliance with Qatar Labor Law, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, OSHA, and international marine safety regulations.
· Lead and supervise HSE teams across multiple marine and offshore projects.
· Conduct risk assessments, hazard identification, and incident investigations, ensuring effective corrective actions.
· Prepare and review Method Statements, JSA, and Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems for marine operations.
· Coordinate and conduct HSE audits, inspections, emergency drills, and toolbox talks.
· Monitor environmental impact, including waste management, spill prevention, and sustainability initiatives.
· Maintain accurate HSE records, reports, and KPIs, including near misses and incidents.
· Act as the main HSE focal point for clients, consultants, and government authorities.
· Deliver HSE training and onboarding programs to ensure workforce competency.
· Prepare monthly safety performance reports for senior management.

Requirements
· Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (Mandatory)
· 15-20 years of HSE experience, with 6-8 years in a managerial role
· Strong experience in MARINE, OFFSHORE, OIL & GAS, or HEAVY CONSTRUCTION projects
· NEBOSH International General Certificate / Diploma (Mandatory)
· ISO 45001 & ISO 14001 Internal Auditor certifications (Preferred)
· First Aid, Fire Safety & Incident Investigation training (Preferred)
