Instrument Planning Engineer

Description:

One of our clients is looking for an experienced Instrument Planning Engineer to plan, schedule, coordinate, and monitor instrumentation maintenance activities in Oil & Gas, LNG, refinery, or petrochemical facilities.

🔹 Key Requirements
✔ Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
✔ 8–12 years of experience in Oil & Gas, LNG, refinery, or petrochemical maintenance.
✔ Minimum 5 years of experience in instrument maintenance planning.
✔ Proven experience in shutdown and turnaround planning.
✔ Strong knowledge of SAP PM or other CMMS tools.
✔ Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and advanced Excel.
✔ Experience in planning maintenance activities for instrumentation systems, control valves, DCS, PLC, SCADA, ESD, and Fire & Gas systems.
✔ Gulf experience, preferably Qatar, is desirable.
✔ Excellent communication, coordination, and reporting skills.

🔹 Key Responsibilities
📌 Develop preventive, predictive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance plans for instrumentation systems.
📌 Prepare weekly and monthly maintenance schedules using SAP PM or other CMMS tools.
📌 Plan maintenance activities for pressure, temperature, level, and flow instruments, control valves, actuators, DCS, PLC, SCADA, ESD, and Fire & Gas systems.
📌 Coordinate instrument calibration, analyzer maintenance, and instrument air system maintenance.
📌 Prepare job plans, work packages, manpower requirements, and material take-offs.
📌 Support shutdown and turnaround planning using Primavera P6 or MS Project.
📌 Monitor maintenance progress, work orders, and backlogs.
📌 Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, Procurement, and other departments.
📌 Prepare maintenance progress reports and KPI reports.
📌 Ensure compliance with PTW, JSA, and HSE requirements.
