Network Security Engineer

Are you passionate about cybersecurity and network protection? We're looking for a highly skilled L2 Network Security Engineer to design, implement, and maintain robust security solutions for our organization. In this role, you'll work closely with cross-functional IT teams to ensure the security and integrity of our network infrastructure, playing a key part in safeguarding our critical assets.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and deploy Cisco-based network security architectures (firewalls, VPNs, ACLS, IPS/IDS).

Configure and manage Cisco security tools (Firepower, ASA, Umbrella, ISE).

Monitor, analyze, and respond to network security threats and incidents.

Apply firewall policies and ensure security rule compliance.

Investigate and resolve escalated L1 security incidents.

Implement secure remote access solutions via VPNs.

Conduct vulnerability assessments and coordinate mitigation efforts.

Collaborate with vendors for support, updates, and system upgrades.

Support patch management activities across security systems.

Work closely with network and systems teams to implement security solutions.

Document and maintain security procedures, reports, and audit trails.

Required Competencies:

Certifications: CCNP Security or equivalent is a must.

Experience: 8-10 years in network engineering or security, with strong troubleshooting skills.

Technical Skills:

Hands-on with Cisco ASA, Firepower, FMC & FTD, AMP, and ISE.

In-depth understanding of IDS/IPS, VPNS, NAC.

Familiarity with monitoring tools like SolarWinds, Nagios, or PRTG.

Experience with SD-WAN is a plus.

Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication skills for both technical and non- technical audiences.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast- paced environment.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
