Job Responsibilities:
Develop and execute test plans to ensure the reliability and functionality of automation systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve automation issues, optimizing system performance and minimizing downtime.
Perform regular system maintenance, including upgrades, backups, and configuration activities.
Provide training and technical support to operations teams on automation systems.
Document processes, configurations, and system changes accurately.
Prepare progress reports and conduct root cause analysis.
Job Requirements & Qualifications:
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Automation, or a related field.
3–5 years of experience in automation as a PLC/RTU Programmer and Commissioning Engineer.
Experience in Water & Wastewater, Oil & Gas, or Infrastructure projects preferred.
Hands-on experience with PLC/RTU platforms such as:
Schneider M580
Rockwell ControlLogix & CompactLogix
Siemens S7-300, S7-400, S7-1500, PCS-7
WinCC SCADA / WinCC OA / TBOX RTU
Strong knowledge of Siemens STEP 7 (TIA Portal).
Experience with communication protocols: Modbus Serial, Modbus RTU, BACnet MSTP, OPC, MQTT, DNP3.
Familiarity with control panel wiring and instrumentation.
Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, layouts, and control panel drawings.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
UPDA certification preferred.
