Project Safety Officer

Description:

Mekdam Technical Services is currently looking for a Project Safety Officer to support major Oil & Gas construction projects and ensure full HSE compliance across all project phases.

Qualification:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Full-time / Regular) – Mandatory

Experience Required:
- Minimum 12+ years in operational safety
- Experience in Oil, Gas & Petrochemical industry
- Strong background in infrastructure / construction projects

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure contractor compliance with HSE policies, procedures, and regulations
- Conduct site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments
- Review JSA, Method Statements, and Permit to Work (PTW)
- Support incident investigation and implementation of corrective actions
- Monitor HSE performance, risk register, and safety documentation
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and international standards
- Promote HSE awareness and safe work practices on site

Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of HSE standards, procedures, and regulations
- Familiar with fire & life safety systems and emergency response
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- GCC experience is an advantage
