This is a full-time Senior Accountant role based on-site in Doha, Qatar. The Senior Accountant will oversee financial reporting, ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards, manage financial records, analyze cost efficiencies, and support budgeting and forecasting. Additional responsibilities include preparing tax returns, reconciling accounts, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to enhance financial performance and deliver insights to support business decisions.

Accountant (Finance & Procurement Operations)

What You’ll Do

• Maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and daily accounting entries.
• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), including invoice processing and vendor/customer follow-up.
• Handle bank reconciliations, supplier reconciliations, and general ledger posting.
• Process monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities with accuracy.
• Prepare financial statements, MIS reports, cash-flow summaries, and cost-control analysis.
• Coordinate with procurement and operations teams to ensure timely payments and proper documentation.
• Support audits by preparing reports, documentation, and compliance records.
• Ensure accuracy, transparency, and alignment with financial policies and standards.

What We’re Looking For

• 5 to 8 years of proven accounting experience, preferably in FMCG, trading, procurement, or B2B environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• Strong understanding of accruals, reconciliations, AP/AR, VAT compliance, and financial controls.
• Experience working with ERP or accounting software (e.g., Odoo, Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, etc.).
• Attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and the ability to work independently.
• Adaptable and comfortable in a fast-paced, tech-driven environment.
