Senior Mechanical Engineer

Description:

Mekdam Technical Services is currently looking for a highly experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer with strong expertise in subsea umbilical's and power cable systems for major offshore Oil & Gas projects.

Key Requirements:
- Minimum 15 years’ experience in Oil & Gas, with at least 10 years in subsea umbilical & cable engineering
- Proven expertise in design and engineering of subsea umbilicals
- Experience in at least 2 major offshore EPIC projects with direct responsibility for umbilical/power cable packages
- Strong background in PMT/PMC roles managing contractors and vendors
- Familiar with ISO, API, Shell DEP standards

Experience in:
- Umbilical manufacturing, testing, and quality reviews
- Cable/umbilical installation, loadout, crossing design, J-tube pulling
- Shore approach and pulling analysis
- Pre-commissioning and commissioning activities
- Ability to review technical documents, manage deviations, and resolve complex engineering issues
- Previous experience with umbilical manufacturers is an advantage
