Senior Planning Engineer

Galfar Engineering and Contracting W.L.L is seeking an experienced Senior Planning Engineer to lead project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, and reporting activities for Oil & Gas flowline projects. The successful candidate will ensure timely completion of projects within approved budgets while complying with client specifications, contract requirements, and company procedures. As a Senior Planning Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining detailed project schedules, monitoring project progress, and identifying schedule deviations. You will also coordinate with various departments to ensure schedule compliance and prepare weekly and monthly progress reports.

Key Responsibilities
  - Develop, update, and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
  - Prepare Level 3 & Level 4 project schedules, resource-loaded schedules, and manpower histograms.
  - Develop project baselines, work breakdown structures (WBS), and project execution schedules.
  - Monitor project progress and identify schedule deviations, delays, and critical activities.
  - Perform critical path analysis (CPA) and recommend recovery plans.
  - Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, QA/QC, HSE, and subcontractors to ensure schedule compliance.
  - Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, S-curves, manpower histograms, and earned value reports.
  - Conduct schedule risk analysis and recommend mitigation measures.
  - Review contractor and subcontractor schedules and monitor their performance.
  - Participate in project review meetings with clients and consultants.
  - Evaluate Extension of Time (EOT) claims and prepare delay analysis when required.
  - Monitor productivity, resource utilization, and project KPIs.
  - Ensure project milestones and contractual deliverables are achieved.
  - Support tender planning by preparing preliminary schedules and resource requirements.
  - Coordinate shutdown and tie-in activities where applicable.
  - Ensure compliance with client planning procedures, contract requirements, and company standards.
