Senior Structural Engineer

Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Structural Engineer / Senior Civil Engineer for a major construction project in Qatar. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in building design and supervision, with strong UPDA credentials and a background in consultancy.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead structural design, analysis, and review of building and civil works.
Ensure designs comply with project specifications, international codes, and local regulations.
Provide technical guidance and oversight throughout the construction phase.
Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines.
Review shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements.
Liaise with authorities for design approvals and ensure compliance with PWA (Ashghal) requirements.
Prepare technical reports, specifications, and progress documentation.

Essential Requirements:
Minimum 20+ years of experience in structural/civil engineering, with a focus on building projects.
At least 7 years in similar position. UPDA Grade A
BSc in Civil Engineering or equivalent; Master’s degree is a plus.
Strong background in building design, construction supervision, and structural analysis.
Buildings & Consultancy experience is highly preferred.
Previous PWA (Public Works Authority) approval is a strong advantage.
Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro).
Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
