System Support Engineer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive System Support Engineer with strong Linux command-line expertise to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting Linux-based systems, providing technical support, ensuring system stability, and supporting users and applications in a 24/7 environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in system support/administration with a focus on Linux environments (Red Hat, Ubuntu, CentOS, etc.).
Proficiency in Linux command-line operations, shell scripting (Bash), and file system management.
Familiarity with networking basics (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SSH, etc.).
Experience with log analysis tools (e.g., journalctl, syslog, or Splunk).
Basic knowledge of system security and hardening techniques.
Experience with ticketing systems like Jira, ServiceNow, or similar.
