Enterprise Resources Planning Technical Consultant

Description:

An ERP Technical Consultant is responsible for the technical implementation, customization, and support of ERP systems. This role involves working closely with business analysts, functional consultants, and end-users to ensure the ERP system meets business requirements and operates efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and customize solutions in Dynamics 365 F&O using X++.
• Integrate D365 F&O with other systems using APIs and data entities.
• Perform technical analysis, design, and development of new features and enhancements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in existing implementations.
• Collaborate with functional consultants to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Optimize performance and ensure best practices in coding and deployment.
• Prepare technical documentation and provide knowledge transfer to support teams.
• Analyse business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Develop, customize, and configure ERP modules (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Odoo).
• Design and implement integrations between ERP and other systems (e.g., CRM, HRMS, third-party APIs).
• Write and maintain technical documentation, including system architecture and user manuals.
• Perform data migration, cleansing, and validation tasks.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to ERP performance, security, and functionality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support ERP upgrades and patches.
• Provide technical training and support to end-users and internal teams.
• Ensure compliance with data security and privacy standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

· Strong proficiency in X++, C#, and .NET Framework.

· Experience with Data Entities, Power Platform integration, and Azure DevOps.

· Knowledge of SSRS reports, extensions, and customizations in D365.

· Familiarity with LCS (Lifecycle Services) and deployment processes.

· Experience with cloud-based ERP solutions.

· Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies.

· Knowledge of reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Crystal Reports).

· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.

· Proven experience with ERP platforms (e.g., SAP ABAP, Oracle EBS, Dynamics 365, Odoo).

· Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL, Java, Python, or .NET.

· Experience with database management systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL).

· Strong understanding of business processes (finance, supply chain, HR, etc.).

· Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

· Strong communication and documentation abilities.
