Description:
Alif Recruitment & Manpower Solutions is seeking an experienced Fabrication Coordinator for a high-profile offshore fabrication project in Qatar. Ideal candidates will have strong technical expertise and hands-on coordination experience in offshore module fabrication, piping, structural steel, and pressure vessels.
🎓 Minimum Qualifications:
Diploma or Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, Fabrication Technology, or related field
🛠️ Experience Requirements:
10–15 years in offshore fabrication & erection (oil & gas/petrochemical/heavy industries)
Skilled in workshop coordination, welding teams & QA/QC collaboration
Hands-on experience with fabrication of piping, structural steel, skids, pressure vessels, offshore modules
Familiar with international standards: ASME, API, ASTM, ISO
📋 Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate daily yard activities with supervisors & subcontractors
Ensure correct use of GA, isometric, spool, and support drawings
Monitor material availability & raise requests to avoid delays
Liaise with QA/QC for inspections, NDT, welding, and fit-ups
Maintain fabrication status logs & track KPIs
Coordinate manpower effectively & support testing/inspection workflows

✔ Welding & fabrication process knowledge
✔ Strong drawing interpretation skills
✔ Understanding of QA/QC procedures (ITP, WPS, NDT, PWHT)
✔ Fabrication scheduling & reporting tools experience
✔ Excellent communication, leadership, and coordination skills
✔ Ability to manage subcontractors/vendors and work under pressure

Ensure strict adherence to all HSE standards and site safety rules
Conduct toolbox talks, participate in audits, report hazards
